Plastic Surgery
Anthony A. Admire, MD, FACS*
Anthony A. Admire is a local plastic surgeon and a native Arizonan who attended high school, college, and medical school (University of Arizona) in Tucson. He completed his general surgery and plastic surgery residency in St. Louis, before returning home to Tucson in 2006, where he took a position with the University of Arizona College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Acting Chief of Plastic Surgery. In late 2007, he established his private plastic surgery practice in North Scottsdale, which has flourished for over 15 years, serving both Phoenicians and many out-of-state patients.
Orthopedic Surgery
Michael D. Dersam, MD*
Dr. Dersam is a board certified Orthopedic surgeon with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He specializes in sports medicine and total joint replacement. He is an Arizona native and has been in practice for over 20 years in the Phoenix area.
Dr. Dersam completed his undergraduate degree in Biomolecular Sciences and his medical degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. His Orthopedic residency was at Baylor’s Scott and White Hospital in Texas. He completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Indiana University and has been the Head Orthopedic Surgeon for Arizona Cardinals and an Associate Orthopedic Surgeon for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Orthopedic areas of interest include:
Upper extremity injuries – shoulder rotator cuff, labrum and reconstructive procedures such as total shoulder and reverse total shoulder replacements
Lower extremity injuries- knee ligament reconstruction, meniscus surgeries, partial and total knee replacements
All other upper and lower extremity trauma and fractures.
Orthopedic Surgery
Sar Ahmed, MD*
Sar Ahmed, MD is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Ahmed has dual fellowship training from Cleveland Clinic in primary and revision hip and knee replacement/reconstruction as well as shoulder arthroscopy and replacements. In addition, he has extensive training and experience in level-one trauma as well.
Dr. Ahmed received his Bachelors of Science degree from University of Buffalo, where he graduated summa cum laude through the advanced honors program. He was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Chapter as well as the Golden Key National Honor Society. Dr. Ahmed completed his medical degree, General surgery internship and Orthopedic residency through SUNY Upstate Medical University at Syracuse.
In his free time Dr. Ahmed enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and daughters. He enjoys reading and also leads an active life-style including weightlifting, hiking, and participating in triathlons and long distance running.
Gynecologic Surgery
Lindsay Allen, MD*
Dr. Lindsay Allen is a board certified gynecologist specializing in minimally invasive surgical options for a wide variety of women’s health problems. She completed her undergraduate biology degree at Michigan State University, followed by medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
She then moved to Phoenix for her Ob/Gyn residency training at Creighton University-Phoenix and has since been serving the Phoenix, Scottsdale, and surrounding communities. Dr. Allen has a passion for women’s health and offers a variety of women’s health solutions for uterine fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, and much more.
Gynecologic Surgery
Carrie Roberts, MD*
Dr. Carrie Roberts is an expert in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She is a high volume gynecologist and performs complex surgeries.
She is skilled in operative hysteroscopy for treatment of intrauterine issues such as polyps or fibroids. Dr Roberts graduated from Creighton University for her undergraduate and medical school degrees. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Banner University/ Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, then received advanced laparoscopic surgery training in Michigan before returning to Arizona.
ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery
David A. Hecht MD*
David A. Hecht is a Double Board-Certified Facial Plastic surgeon. His practice has excelled over the last 20 years in Arizona, focusing exclusively on the Head and Neck specializing in: Rhinoplasty, Facelift, Blepharoplasty, Chin Augmentation and Skin Cancer Reconstruction.
Dr. Hecht was born and raised in New York and received his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed internship in General Surgery and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Following residency, Dr. Hecht was selected for the highly prestigious fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he had the privilege of training under two world-renowned Facial Plastic Surgeons. During his tenure at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Hecht also served on the faculty as Clinical Instructor, teaching residents and medical students. His academic accomplishments also include numerous authored and published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters as well as presentations at local and international meetings. Dr. Hecht enjoys spending time with his family, fitness and playing golf.
